Denzel Hayes Washington, Jr. is a highly decorated American actor, screenwriter, director, and film producer. Embodying Capricorn’s successful and hardworking traits, he owns two Golden Globe awards, a Tony Award, and two Academy Awards for his heart-moving acting skills.
Denzel was born in Mount Vernon, New York City. He has a very conservative and simple family. Her mother was a beauty parlor-owner while his father, Reverend Denzel H. Washington, Sr., worked as a Pentecostal minister. His close ties with his family, especially with his father, developed Denzel’s serious and grounded stature. During the early stages of his career, he met actress Pauletta Pearson on the set of his first TV-movie “Wilma”. Like all Capricorns, he was patient and persistent in courting her. He took his time to make sure that their relationship will be on the right track. His patience and slow approach paid-off when the couple exchanged wedding vows in 1983. They now have four children who were present when they renewed their marriage at South Africa in 1995.
