Dougray Scott is a Scottish actor best known for his role as Prince Henry opposite Drew Barrymore in the movie Ever After. He made his film debut in Twin Town, and first rose to popularity in the television series Soldier Soldier. Being born on November 25, he is a true Sagittarius, the most adventurous of all the zodiacs.
As an actor, he has had many high-profile roles that he lost to other actors. He was slated to star alongside Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible II as the villain, but Scott was also supposed to play Wolverine in the movie adaptation of X-Men. Eventually, the role of Wolverine went to Hugh Jackman. He was also in the running as Pierce Brosnan’s replacement as James Bond, but Scott also lost this role to Daniel Craig. Sagittarians, because of their jovial and ever-optimistic nature, tend to brush off things easily, heavily leaning towards fatalism and the belief that “what is meant to be will be”.
Scott also appeared in the 2006 miniseries The Ten Commandments as Moses. Afterwards, he began a stint in Desperate Housewives as Teri Hatcher’s characters’ love interest. He was also hailed as Sunday Mail/McEwan's People's Film Fest's "Scottish Film Star of the Year." Sagittarians tend to be modest more than anything, although they are honest and generous to a fault.
Sagittarians balance loyalty to their friends with a fierce sense of independence. Being eternally optimistic, they often suffer failures but aren’t easily defeated. In their personal lives, Sagittarians are ardent, sincere and direct. They biggest weakness is that they are intensely outspoken and have a tendency to be insensitive, not knowing that they have hurt others. However, they are intuitive and have a good judgment. Their minds are profound and are great conversationalists.
From his first marriage to casting director Sarah Trevis, Scott is the father of twins, a boy named Gabriel and a girl named Eden, born on 1998. However, the couple only lasted seven years, from 2000 to 2006. In 2007, he married fellow actor Claire Forlani.
Sagittarians are natural philosophers and teachers, but are prone to impatience and tend to be domineering. Thus, a healthy balance is recommended for a Sagittarian to be well- rounded. They must take full advantage of their gifts and be wary and get rid of the dangerous habits that they keep.
