Jodie Foster Award winning American actress, film director and producer, Alicia Christian Jodie Foster was born on November 19, 1862 under the sign Scorpio. Just as scorpions are, she works great with other people, she is hard hard-working, she strives for the best, and has complete dedication to her work. No doubt she has brought this to her career.
She started her acting career at an early age doing commercials. In the year 1976 she was given a bigger role in the film Taxi Driver which she was nominated as Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. After which, projects came pouring in for her, this included the films The Accused (1989) and The Silence of the Lambs (1991) were she won an Academy Award for Best Actress for both. The year 1991 was the start of her directing career when she directed Little Man Tate. She was not contented with being an artist and director that she ventured the field of producing. She was nominated for an Academy Award for producing the film Neil (1994). Her dedication to her garnered her fame, respect and awards. She did not just receive Academy Awards but also two BEFTA Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, a People’s Choice Award and two Emmy nominations.
Despite being in the lime light for a number of years, she maintained privacy in her personal life. She refused to name the father of her two sons, Charles Foster and Christopher “Kit” Foster. It is indeed in her nature to remain secretive, and deeply private on their life.
Despite her being secretive about her private life, news got out regarding her personal relationship. On December 2007, it was rumored that she had an affair for 14 years with film producer Cydney Bernard after referring to her as “my beautiful Cydney, who sticks with me through the rotten and the bliss.” Cydney and Jodie met in 1992 on the set of Sommersby. This just shows how loyal a scorpion can be to their partner. Cydney adopted Jodie’s two sons and stood as their mother. The four lived together under one roof refusing any household help for fear of news breaking out regarding their relationship; again showing the secretive nature of a scorpion. A year after Jodie’s public acknowledgement of Cydney they broke up. The reason for the break up was another woman named Cynthia “Cindy” Mort, a producer and screenwriter whom Jodie had an affair with. But after a year of being together, Jodie got dumped.
Her outstanding characteristic as a scorpion are her loyalty, will power, and determination.
