Sarah Jessica Parker is best known for being Carrie Bradshaw in the HBO hit series Sex and the City. The show ran for six seasons and won several accolades for Parker, including four Golden Globes, three Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Emmy Awards. She also reprised her role in the two movies spawned from the series.

Sex and the City’s creator, Danny Starr sent the pilot’s script to Sarah Jessica because he wanted her to be the lead. Sarah agreed to the contract and the pilot debuted to high ratings and critical success in 1998.

On May 1997, she married actor Matthew Broderick. They met when they were both in a production in the Naked Angels theater company. On January 2002, the couple’s first son, named James Wilkie, was born. In 2009, Sarah’s surrogate mother delivered healthy twin girls whom they named Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta. The family lives in New York City but sometimes spends time in Ireland where Broderick spent his childhood.
