Tina Turner Anna Mae Bullock, popularly known as Tina Turner was born on November 26, 1939. She was born to a factory worker mother, Zelma Bullock, and her father - a Baptist deacon, farmer and factory worker – Floyd Richard Bullock. She was born in Nutbush, Haywood County, Tennessee. Her mother and sister, Alline, moved to St. Louis, Missouri while the young Anna was left under the care of her grandmother. During adolescence, she left Tennessee and joined her mother and sister in Missouri. Turner started her career as a singer with Ike Turner, her then husband, with their band, the Ike & Tina Turner Revue. She then landed film roles, like The Acid Queen in the 1975 film, Tommy. The Rolling Stone called her “one of the greatest singers of all time”. She is also considered as the most successful female rock artist.
She first met Ike Turner in 1956 in a gig in a night club. In 1958, two years after the first meeting and after bugging Ike to be taken in, she became the lead vocalist of Ike’s band. She was first romantically involved with saxophonist Raymond Hill, and had a child with him. Both eventually broke up. A Sagittarian’s characteristic when it comes to love is that they fall in love, then fall out of it, thinking it might just be a temporary phase.
In 1959, Tina got in a romantic relationship with Ike and gave birth to their first son, Ronnie, born in 1960. They eventually got married in 1962 in Tijuana, Mexico. People born under Sagittarius are ambitious and optimistic, and continue being so even if their hopes are dashed. This might be the reason Tina Turner stayed with Ike for 14 years even after the much publicized reports on domestic violence - physical and verbal abuse, raping her and even stubbing cigarettes out on her body. In 1976, finally, Tina decided to leave Ike and file for divorce after a violent encounter on the way to a hotel in Dallas.
After a violent marriage that ended in court finality on Divorce, Tina Turner met and dated Erwin Bach, a German record executive, 17 years younger than Tina. They first met in an airport in London in 1985 and started dating in 1986. Bach was born in January 24, 1956, making him an Aquarius. Aquarius and Sagittarius get along well with each other. Both are outgoing and love to socialize. The relationship between them is very natural.
Tina Turner travels across Europe from time to time and splits her time between England, France and most of the time, Switzerland. Sagittarius people love to travel and explore because their minds are constantly open to new dimensions of thought.
